Shannon has developed film projects with Pulitzer, Tony, and Academy Award winning screenwriter/playwright, Horton Foote and indie production company, Evolution Entertainment. She has collaborated with journalists, authors, screenwriters and producers. Several “true life” stories optioned and developed by Killer Dove (formerly Retro Cowboy Productions) have received national exposure on both Oprah and 48 Hours.

Her “straight gig” for many years was working as an entertainment and intellectual property paralegal. She worked with some of the top dealmakers and legal minds in Hollywood and on some high-profile cases, including the prolonged legal battle over the film rights to Spiderman.

Note from Shannon: I have a covey of wild doves that call my patio home. Like all doves, they are peaceful, polite and carry a gentle dignity about them. But then there’s my favorite little guy – a maverick – who marches to his own beat. When he perches on my balcony railing and peers down on the world, his shoulders hunch forward and he becomes sharp-eyed and laser focused like he’s the most powerful bird on earth. This fierce little maverick who always leads with his heart is my idea of a real “Killer Dove”, and the perfect inspiration for this production company.
